Rouyn-Noranda, January 14, 2019 – In its ongoing mission to offer its festival-goers the best in cinematography from here and elsewhere, and to allow filmmakers to reach the best public in the world, the Abitibi-Témiscamingue International Film Festival is opening the submission period for its 38th edition.
Short, medium-length and feature films are gratefully received. To be eligible, all productions (fiction, documentary, animation) must have been produced after January 31st, 2017 and not commercially produced in Canada. It is important to note that the original version of submitted films must be in French or subtitled in French, otherwise they will be rejected. Films selected for the official competition will have the opportunity of winning one of the five prizes awarded during the Festival.
To submit a film, go to the Festival’s homepage at festivalcinema.ca and select the form to be completed according to the film category (short, medium-length or feature). The deadline for submitting short or medium-length films is June 17th, 2019 and for feature films, the deadline is August 5th, 2019.
The 38th Abitibi-Témiscamingue International Film Festival will take place from October 26th to October 31st, 2019. The Espace court event will be held two days prior to the official opening of the Festival on October 24th and October 25th, 2019.
