Un monde froid. Des individus dont la tête est remplacée par une cage renfermant un ballon de baudruche se croisent dans les rues d'une immense cité. Tous se ressemblent et vivent de manière standardisée. Certains par excès de folie ou de lucidité tentent de faire s'envoler leur ballon, mais chaque tentative est systématiquement vouée à l'échec. Un individu va tout de même trouver le moyen de s'évader.

Un capitalisme sentimental

Fernande dreams of art and love, but she is soon disillusioned when a stupid bet leads her from the bohemian lifestyle of avant-garde artists to the financial and entertainement worlds, from a servant's room under the parisian sky to the heart of the New York Stock Exchange -- one day in October 1929. The rest is history.
Gomorra
Power, money and blood: these are the "values" that the residents of the Province of Naples and Caserta, have to face every day. They hardly ever have a choice, and are almost always forced to obey the rules of the "system", the Camorra. Only a lucky few can even think of leading a "normal" life.
Five stories are woven together in this violent scenario, set in a cruel and apparently imaginary world, but one which is deeply rooted in reality.
