Philippe Faucon
Philippe Faucon comes from Oujda, Morocco. After graduating with a master's degree in literature from the University of Aix-en-Provence, he got his start in the seventh art in production. In 1984, he directed "La Jeunesse", a short film which could be seen as an overview of the budding filmmaker's future work. In "L'Amour" (1990), his first feature film, Faucon portrayed the daily lives of suburban youths, their hardships and their first loves, a work which won him the award for French Cinema Perspectives at Cannes.
