Biographie
Virginie Sauveur
After studying for three years at the École supérieure de réalisation audiovisuelle (ESRA), Virginie found a position as production assistant at K'ien Productions in 1998, which helped her make her first two short films. She gradually turned to writing until 2003, when luck smiled on her when Arte allowed her to write and direct her first TV film, Quelques jours entre nous, starring Cyrille Thouvenin and Sara Forestier, which won awards at several festivals. She went on to direct Celle qui reste, with Julie Depardieu and Julien Boisselier in 2005. It was on this shoot that she met Martine Chevallier, a member of the Comédie Française, whom she called on a few years later to play the lead role in the TV film La veuve tatouée.
