Yanie Dupont-Hébert
After film school, Yanie worked in TV, traveled the world and had kids, then returned to her first love: fiction. Selected by the Canadian Academy of Cinema for their Women Directors Program, her short film "L'été indien" won Best Director+Screenplay in Malaga and film essay "Les choses de ma vie" was shown in theaters and art galleries. She cowrote and directed comedic series “Smile TV”, her screenplay "Lola&moi" was selected at the Cannes Film Festival’ Screenwriters Pavilion and her film "1+1+1 ou la vie, l'amour et le chaos" was awarded Telefilm's Talents to Watch grant. In addition to teaching acting direction at INIS, Yanie gives film workshops to children and continues to develop projects that combine comedy, drama, and fantasy.
