Dramedy. Childish, almost 40-year-old, fiery aspiring writer Pat (she hates Patricia) has an irritating inner voice that drives her to self-sabotage. Pat must learn to look in the mirror, forgive herself, and quiet this inner bully if she is to save her relationship with Jan, the musician boyfriend in the midst of an identity crisis with whom she has just reconnected, and most importantly, repair the now fragile bond with her daughter Flavie, a teenager whose best friend is an imaginary emotional support dog named Jesus... A stay at Pat's family cabin in the middle of a Quebec winter unearths a childhood trauma that may hold the key to her salvation. (loosLly based on Grégory Lemay's "Roman de l'été", published by Lemeac)
