Born in Mechelen, Belgium in 1981, Hans Van Nuffel is a graduate of the Brussels RITS film academy where his critically acclaimed thesis film Journey's End, earned him a grant from Flemish Audiovisual Fund to make a second short. This turned out to be Fal, which won the jury award at the 2008 Montreal World Film Festival. He followed that with Night Ravens (showing, too, at this year's MWFF). OXYGEN marks his debut in features.
