Biographie
Onur Karaman
Born in Turkey, Onur Karaman spent his early years in Algeria, before returning to his home country. He moved to Canada with his family when he was 8. He graduated from Champlain College, and went on to cinema. He wrote, directed, and produced experimental short films such as "Le Ride" (2006), "Stations" (2009), "R’en-Donner" (2010), and "L’Histoire d’un Malade" (2011).
Karaman returned to Turkey a number of times throughout the years. His stays and the memories of his youth colour his films and mingle with influences from filmmakers from around the world. His first feature film, "La Ferme des Humains" (2013), evoking the vicious circle of hypocrisy and selfishness, premiered at Montreal's Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, where it was very well received. "Là Où Atilla Passe..." is his second feature film.
