11-year-old Antonin drags his mother to the nursing home, determined to meet his grandfather for the first time. Unable to convince his grandpa’s estranged daughter to join him, Antonin goes in alone. In a room festooned with nautical paraphernalia, he finds gruff and solitary Gilles, who ends up taking him on an unexpected journey. Emboldened by his new friendship, Antonin decides to orchestrate a father-daughter reconciliation.
