A lonely child grows up playing in the yard and notices an old man's fear for life outside his house. He attracts his attention by passing him rubber bands. The old man is unable to be grateful and shoos him away. They go head-to-head in a duel to the last note.

Biographie

Carlo Ghioni

Ghioni holds a European humanistic culture enhanced by North American sense for management. Now based in Vancouver BC, he operated for 15 years in Montreal, working with Europe for both French and English industries, familiar with the nuances and cultural gaps which identify societies. He directed/produced several feature and documentaries for CBC, Radio-Canada, Discovery, RAI and SKY; an awarded animator and a live-action director, he teaches film directing and producing at Emily Carr University.

About the festival

A true celebration of cinema and all its forms of expression, the Festival welcomes over 100 productions from some 30 countries, including short, medium and full-length features, documentaries, animated films, and fiction films. The Festival puts on quite a show, year after year!
