Sonja is a seemingly uneducated housewife, responsible for raising her 10-year-old daughter, Mia. Sonja is also in a civil union with Adela, whom she hides for fear of everyone else. We're in the near future, where the policies of an authoritarian Eastern Bloc government have created a nightmarish digital dictatorship. One day, Sonja's citizen passport stops working. Sonja heads to Warsaw to the Ministry of Supervision. Like Joan of Arc, she is forced to find within herself the unshakeable strength to fight alone for truth, freedom and her daughter. Will conformity win out, or will her freedom come at the cost of what's dearest to her: her daughter?
