After his film studies, Martin Laroche directed his first two films on shoestring budgets ($3,500 and $6,000), which enabled him to shoot Fair Sex (2013), his first professional feature. After premiering at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, it was honoured with four nominations at the Gala des Prix Jutra 2014. Tadoussac is his second subsidized feature.
