Always keen about offering the best of the local or worldwide cinema, as well as being able to allow the creators and their creations to reach the best audience, the Festival du cinéma international en Abitibi-Témiscamingue opens its 2021 film submission season to prepare for the exceptional 40^th edition of the Festival.

Short, medium and full features are welcome. All production (fiction, documentary, animation) must have been produced after January 1^st 2019 and must not have been commercially exploited in Canada. Please note that for the competitive section, films must necessarily be in original version in French or with French subtitles. Selected movies for the official competition all get a chance to win one of the six prizes given during the closing night.

To submit a film, simply go on the Festival’s website homepage, at https://festivalcinema.ca/ and choose the right form to fill, depending on the category of your film (short, medium or full length feature). The due date for a submission for a short or medium feature is June 28^th 2021, and for full length films, the latest to submit is on August 2^nd 2021.

The 40^th Festival du cinéma international en Abitibi-Témiscamingue will be held from October 30^th to November 4^th 2021. The event Espace court will happen, as usual, 2 days before the official  Festival opening, on October 28^th and 29^th 2021.
