Truman
When Julián (Ricardo Darín) receives an unexpected visit from his childhood friend Tomás (Javier Cámara), the encounter is bittersweet. This reunion, their first meeting in many years, will also be their last. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, Julián has decided to forgo continued treatment and instead focus on putting his affairs in order: distributing his possessions, finalizing his funeral arrangements, and, most importantly, finding a home for his beloved dog, Truman. It's this final task that is causing him the greatest heartbreak.

Narrated by Cohen himself, this totally true but completey unbelievable tale traces the events that led up to the filmmaker’s recent heart attack and the difficult recovery that ensued. If there’s comedy to be found in a heart attack, Sheldon is the man to find it. It all started with a panicked phone call from a dog park, followed by a rollercoaster of a ride filled with wry humour and philosophical musings. While everybody is trying to save a dog undergoing cardiac arrest, Cohen suspects that he might be having a little heart attack of his own. And true to every stereotypical portrayal of married life, his wife is actually annoyed with him.

Hôtel La Louisiane
Some fifteen years ago, while in Paris, Michel La Veaux found himself having by chance to spend a night at the Hôtel La Louisiane. At that moment, he had the distinct feeling of having "arrived" somewhere – in a place much more than a simple layover in any hotel. He had rarely felt such pleasure and comfort, in this place that had welcomed great names then and now.
Jean-Paul Sartre sought refuge there, fleeing his mother's cold apartment when the coal rations were too austere. It was there also that Simone de Beauvoir penned "Le Deuxième Sexe", her major work. Singer Juliette Gréco and jazz musician Miles Davis lived their love affair there. La Louisiane, however, is not solely a resting place for the ghosts of the past. It remains a favourite hangout for modern creators who are still very much alive, such as Olivier Py, Quentin Tarantino, and Robert Lepage.

Imaginative and sensitive, Felix, like many children, is afraid of everything: the possible divorce of his parents, who seem to go through a crisis; maniacs who prey on little boys; shady neighbours, and even AIDS. Little by little, the childhood imaginary demons is mixed with the demons of a disturbing reality.

October 1944, Auschwitz-Birkenau. Saul Ausländer is a Hungarian member of the Sonderkommando, the group of Jewish prisoners isolated from the camp and forced to assist the Nazis in the machinery of large-scale extermination. While working in one of the crematoriums, Saul discovers the corpse of a boy he takes for his son. As the Sonderkommando plans a rebellion, Saul decides to carry out an impossible task: save the child's body from the flames, find a rabbi to recite the mourner's Kaddish and offer the boy a proper burial.

Radio Atacama
In 1966 the Chilean government evacuated the population of Pedro de Valdivia, a little town in the middle of the Atacama desert, due to the pollution of a near saltpeter plant. Benito Paften decided to stay in town, alone, for 13 years, with the sole company of a portable radio. The extreme loneliness evoke feelings on the elder, imaging invisible worlds to escape from reality.

Aerobics: A love story

A completely hand-made historical micro-epic about the final minutes in the life of Winnipeg’s doomed Second World War hero, Andrew Mynarski (1916-1944). Combining wartime aviation melodrama with classical and avant-garde animation techniques (including stop-motion, silhouettes, bleaching, scratching, hand-painting and rubbing letratone patterns directly on the celluloid) Mynarski Death Plummet is a psychedelic photo-chemical war picture on the theme of self-sacrifice, immortality and jellyfish.

SHIPWRECK
