Arbitrer demeure l’un des rôles les plus ingrats dans le monde du sport. Derrière des hommes, des femmes, des adolescents aux chandails zébrés se cachent des êtres humains ébranlés et ébranlables. Vos fils, vos filles, vos frères, vos oncles, qui n’ont pas le droit à un minimum de respect et de dignité.
Afin de cerner ce phénomène préoccupant, Réverbères Médias et le journaliste Mathias Brunet suivront un jeune arbitre de 17 ans muni d’un micro et d’une caméra dans toutes les étapes de ses fonctions : du début à la fin de la saison de hockey mineur à Candiac. Il sera épaulé et parfois réconforté par l’ancien arbitre de la LNH et responsable des arbitres chez Hockey Québec, Stéphane Auger.
Au final, divers intervenants seront appelés à témoigner dans le film: d’anciens arbitres professionnels de la LNH et du hockey mineur, des parents, des entraineurs, des psychologues, dans un document télévisuel qui ne manquera pas de relief.

Faded photograph is a documentary in which the filmmaker traces the existence of her father, who died when she was 12, through a montage of his memoirs. Outside a maternity ward, a Roma family is announced their underage daughter has just had a baby girl. Pardica doesn’t seem to celebrate the moment; he is very displeased with this early pregnancy, for which he blames his wife. However, things become even tenser when a hospital employee asks them to sign some papers and discovers issues related to their IDs and their status as parents of the underage new mother. The imminent danger of state authorities separating them from their daughter determines Pardica to take action. PT
Hochelaga, Land of Souls
Rain fell heavily on Montreal causing a spectacular collapse of Percival-Molson Stadium during a football match. Within a few hours, the stadium became a protected archaeological site. The Mohawk archaeologist, Baptiste Asigny, undertook excavations that lead him to the discovery of past generations that had occupied this place. He was therefore determined to find the village of Hochelaga, where his Iroquoian ancestors encountered Jacques Cartier in1535. The film traces 750 years of history from a single place where souls from all eras come together despite the centuries that separate them. GPHQ, PCS
