Biographie

Clovis Cornillac

Clovis Cornillac is a French film, television and stage actor and director. With actor parents, Clovis Cornillac was only 15 years old when he began his career in the film Hors-la-loi. In 1999, he met Thomas Vincent who took him with him on the Karnaval adventure. If this film allowed him to be noticed, he would have to wait for Guillaume Nicloux's film, A Private Affair, to see his career take off. Since then, he has played a wide range of roles. We saw him in Mensonges et trahisons et plus si affinités, by Laurent Tirard, for which he won the César for best supporting actor. His career earned him the Prix Jean Gabin in 2005, and later, the title of Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres. He made his directorial debut in 2015 with the feature film Un peu, beaucoup, aveuglément. He then directed Belle et Sébastien 3: Le Dernier Chapitre. His third feature film, C'est magnifique! premiered at the 2021 Angoulême Francophone Film Festival.
