Biographie

Bong Joon-Ho

Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-Ho studied sociology and cinema before devoting himself to directing. His first feature film Barking Dog (2001), received the Fipresci Award at the Hong Kong Festival. He garnered commercial and critical success internationally thanks to the thriller Memories of Murder (2003). In 2006, The Host was screened at the Directors' Fortnight (Cannes) and strengthened his international fame. In 2008, he contributed to the Tokyo! trilogy alongside Leos Carax and Michel Gondry. He was also awarded multiple awards for Mother (2009).
