Raised as brothers, intense teammates and competitors on the soccer field, the gregarious, swaggering Julio and the more wiry and focused Daniel "Gato" have remained virtually inseparable ever since the newborn Daniel was found abandoned in a trash heap in their La Ceniza slum. The opportunity of their lives arrives when a football scout invites them to tryout for the city's top professional team, just as a tragic act of violence threatens to tear them apart and prevent them from achieving their dreams.

Biographie

Marcel Rasquin

Director from Venezuela. Graduated from the Catholic University of Andres Bello (UCAB) in Karakas and the Victorian College of Arts (cinema department) in Melbourne. After that he has been successfully working on numerous projects as production director and producer. Since 1997 he has become a part on the A&B Producciones team, where he has made a number of commercials and videos. Among his short works as the director are films EASIER RIDER, RING and HAPPY ENDINGS, which were shown and awarded at the festivals in Melbourne, Sydney, New York, Chicago, Karakas, Beijing etc. In 2005 the Australian Club of Critics praised Rasquin as the best young cineaste. BROTHER is Rasquin’s feature debut.
