Bagages gives the floor and the stage to newly arrived teenagers in Montreal who attend l’école secondaire Paul-Gérin-Lajoie d’Outremont. Their story of migration and integration is discovered through drama workshops, theatrical staging and interviews. They attest to an ‘elsewhere’ and a ‘past’ which become ‘here’ and ‘now.’ They are young but they speak of their journey with a disconcerting wisdom, and an emotion to make even the hard-hearted tremble with a disarming authenticity.
