Biographie

Michel Jetté

At the strat of his career in 1985 he directed nearly 200 television reports, some commercial as well as short fiction and feature films including Hochelaga and History of Pen (Inside). Mr. Jetté left his mark in 2000 with the cult film Hochelaga. This feature film, set in the world of Bikers, was seen in festivals all over the world and sold in approximately 20 countries. Hochelaga was nominated in seven different categories at the Jutra awards; it also won several prestigious honours and was ranked as the best selling film in the history of Quebec Cinema after its released on DVD.

A few years later, Mr. Jetté released a poignant, fascinating prison-drama titled Histoire de Pen (Inside), a disturbing and original movie that takes viewers through a unique and sometimes surreal universe. BumRush, the third chapter of Mr. Jetté’s criminal-gang trilogy, is a story that exposes the drama caused by a street gang turf war, woven from the Quebec reality of an international phenomenon. Burn Out or the Voluntary Servitude is his fifth feature film.
