DOLOR Y GLORIA

Pedro Almodóvar

After several decades, Salvador Mallo, a director in pain, experiences a series of reunions. Some in the flesh, others while traveling down memory lane: his childhood in the 1960s, his life in Madrid in the 1980s, his first and subsequent love stories, the mother, death, and actors with whom he worked. The inability to separate creation and private life. And emptiness-- the unfathomable emptiness in the face of the inability to continue filming.
