Pieds nus dans l’aube

Francis Leclerc

Canada | V.O. French | 2017 | 113 min | color | Fiction

Free adaptation of Félix Leclerc’s novel, Pieds nus dans l’aube, portrays the richness of this typical ‘between the two wars’ childhood. Without being faithful to the novel, the cinematographic adaptation forges links between the characters – strong and surprising – and dramatic situations that have deeply marked the author’s imagination. Gathered in a single film, unexpected events take place in this family’s village on the banks of the Saint-Maurice River. GPHQ, PCS
