Nick Butler

Nick Butler is a New York-based Canadian filmmaker whose first feature film as writer/director/producer, The Legacy of Cloudy Falls, received production financing from Telefilm Canada in 2023 and is distributed by Filmoption International. In addition to Telefilm, his films have received funding from the Ontario Arts Council, the Canada Council for the Arts and the NFB. Elsewhere, he has extensive casting experience, including a casting associate on Alexander Payne's Downsizing, casting director on the critically acclaimed Canadian feature Dim the Fluorescents and in the casting department for HBO's Euphoria, Guilermo Del Toro's Crimson Peak and the Oscar-winning Room.
