YES TO A SAFE 39TH FESTIVAL DU CINÉMA INTERNATIONAL EN ABITIBI-TÉMISCAMINGUE

At the Festival du cinéma international en Abitibi-Temiscamingue, we are proud to confirm the happening of our 39th edition. With the present context, the event will take place with projections within the theatre, from October 31st to November 5th 2020, accordingly to our original concept: film projections for the audience and the artists.

Our organization is deeply happy to say that, with the support of our precious and loyal partners, the Festival du cinéma international en Abitibi-Temiscamingue is able to put in place a grandiose event in compliance of the sanitary politics in place. However, since the sanitary reality brings us to rethink the program and the whole logistics of the festival, not to mention that the sanitary plan might evolve from week to week, the first press conference, which usually takes place at the end of August, is rescheduled to a later date in September.

Packages and passports

Considering the sanitary measures that imply a 1.5 meters distance between the spectators, and the maximum of 250 persons on site, there won’t be any touristic packages offered to visitors, nor will there be passports (which gave access to all the projection blocks). Individual tickets will be available for each block and they will be with assigned seats, unlike the precedent years. The reserved seats will allow us to comply with the safety measures. The payment methods for the tickets will be instructed in further communications.

Obviously, those measures will bring changes in the habits of all: the audience, film lovers, volunteers, collaborators, partners and members of our team. The Festival du cinéma international en Abitibi-Temiscamingue makes it a point of honor to build a grand event, connected to its original DNA: one week that marks la crème de la crème of the cinéma industry, with human and memorable encounters, added to a warm, friendly and safe welcome, our trademark since our very beginnings.

As the flow of news will come regularly during the following weeks, our organization invites you to subscribe to our newsletter, as well as to follow the Festival du cinéma international en Abitibi-Témiscamingue on its Facebook page, on Twitter and Instagram.
